My point's:
- Most o us are aware that our cars, our coal-generated electric power and even our cement actories ad-versely aect the environment.
- The FAO report found that current production levels o meat contribute between 14 and 22 percent of the 36 billion tons oCO2 equivalent” greenhouse gases the world produces every year.
- Greenhouse gas into the atmosphere as driving a 3,000 pound car nearly 10 miles.
- Every food we consume vegetables and fruits included, incurs hidden environmental cost.
- UEA in England found that depending on the production method cows emit between 2.5 and 4.7 ounces of methane of each pound of beef they produce.
- Those emission are the equivalent of releasing between 3.6 and 6.8 pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere for each pound of beef produced.
- U.s to only a poun in the small eastern European country of Moldova.
- The average is about 22 pounds per person per year. The amount by which beef comsuption per capita veries from the world average.
- World beef consumption per capita is growing, particularly in Asia.
- The economic development: as people earn higher incomes, they purchase foods they find more desirable.
- The greenhouse gas emissions from producing various foods can be appreciated by comparing them with the emissions from a gasoline powered passenger car that gets 28 miles per gallon.
- Worldwide meat production emits more atmospheric greenhouse gases than do all forms of global transportation or industrial processes.
- The author estimates that current levels of meat production add nearly 6.5 billion tons of CO2 equivalent greenhouse gases every year to the atmosphere.
- Some 18 percent of the worldwide annual production of 36 billions tons.
- Only energy production generates more greenhouse gases than does raising livestock for food.
Author's Point:
The author points are to improve the waste management and farming practices because it would certainly reduce the carbon footprint of beef production. Also, Methane-capturing systems, can put cows' waste to use in generating electricity. But their are some conflicts which the system remain too costly to be commercial viable. Adding more, the author is also trying to point out that most of us need to choosing more wisely and we can make a difference. Eating locally produced food., for instance can reduce the need for transport through food inefficiently shipped in small batches on trucks from nearby farms can turn out to save surprisingly little in greenhouse emissions. The U.S and the rest of the developed world, people could eat less meat, particularly beef. We should to give careful thought to diet and its consequences for the planet if we are serious about limiting the emissions of greenhouse gases.

My thought's:
After reading this article, I just thought of how much meat that my mom serves food for every daily meal. Not only that plus the school meals that I see around my surrounding students throwing away their lunches away because it's "school food" and they think its bad. Just realizing all that amount of meat being thrown away and the time it was produce. Just a big waste. Many people just don't understand that our food is being produce and people just waste it. Were not the only one that is being hurt the ecosystem is also being hurt and destroy from all this meat and farm industrialization. We should start caring of what we eating and the stuff we wasting because it's damaging a lot.

So what?
The more greenhouse and meat being produce it can turn out bad. Such as, pollution and not enough food sources for everyone.
Say's who?
Allyson Koerner
What if?
If most of the people don't eat meat that much? If farmers don't use methane or greenhouse to produce the meat?
What this remind me of?
This remind me of all the pollution clips and my daily meal.
