1. Discuss TWO characteristics of forests that change when logging operations occur within them. Increase chance of severe fires in the future. Introduction and the spread of lethal diseases.
2. Describe THREE ecological services provided to humans by forests. Explain how logging would affect each ecological service you describe. Trees produce oxygen, acting as a giant filter that cleans the air we breath. If there is no more trees we will be breathing unsanitary air and causing millions to die.Trees are like windbreakers, it can lower heating bills up to 30 percent and has a significant effect on reducing snow drifts. If there is no more trees, communities will have to try to find another way to stay cool.Trees clean the soil, by absorbing dangerous chemicals and other pollutants that have entered the soil. If there is no more trees then other plants will die due to the toxics inside the soil.

Plantation forests provides humans with timber and wood. As well as providing income to workers that work in the tourism business. But due to the Lacey Act workers that deal with the forests will have to find another job so that they can make a living and the government will have to find some other thing to get income into their country.
